Spring Break...finally!

Welcome to the sunshine state! My spring break is finally here and I am happy to say that I'm writing this while laying by the pool in 85° weather. Are any of my followers from Florida? If so, have you ever heard of Grand Island? Probably not...no one has. It's near Orlando, in the middle of the state (it's not really an island). Well anyways, this is where I'm spending most of my spring break!

Does anyone love shopping right before a big trip? I know I do! On Friday, instead of going to class (whoops), I went to Charleston to do some majorrrrr shopping. I love doing this because then I feel like a I have a whole new wardrobe for my trip. My credit card (or for lack of a better term, I) thoroughly enjoyed the Polo, Nike, Coach, MK, and Lilly stores. Although I love shopping in Columbia, okay I really don't, I just adore shopping in Charleston more than anything. I'm down there quite frequently visitng family and doing a l(ot)ittle shopping, and believe me, I wouldn't mind living there.

After a day trip to Concord, NC for work, it was off to Florida for me! One of the things I hate most are car rides. Long, short, I can't stand them. Well, from Columbia to Grand Island, it's 9 hours. Nothing to do, nothing to look at, traffic everywhere, it's awful. But I guess it's all worth it in the end. I mean who doesn't love a week with no worries except which bathing suit to wear everyday!? No work, no class, no stress, just sunshine and relaxation. I may be the only one, but I can't stay in my hometown for very long. I love just getting away, even if it's only for a day. But a week is even better! I have no desire to come back to SC and to class next week. Spring break is way too much of a summer tease for me!

Just a few more weeks until summer...the countdown starts now!! By the way, please continue to give me feedback...comments, suggestions, anything! Thanks again :)

Here We Go!

I am so excited to finally be starting my blog! This has been on my to-do list for what seems like forever, and I have now found time to start. I am hoping that this isn't one of those things that I start, post a few times, and then never come back to it. I am going to try my best to keep this up! I hope to start out posting a few times a week, and will see where it goes from there. I'm here to please my readers, so whatever y'all want, let me know! I love love love feedback, so don't be afraid to comment, or DM me on Twitter (@SC__Prep).

So, I guess I should tell you about myself. I am from and currently live in Columbia, South Carolina. I love the south and could never move far from it. After I finish high school, I plan on attending Clemson University (Go Tigers!!). That has been my dream ever since I was a little girl, and needless to say I am a huge Clemson fan...especially when it comes to football. Everything I own is monogrammed. I live by the quote, "if it's not moving, monogram it." I have an addiction to Lilly Pulitzer that makes me blow just about every pay check I get within a week. My style is pretty basic to any other southern girl around here. Lilly, Southern Tide, Vineyard Vines, etc. Pearls everyday, as it that's even a question. I coach cheerleading for a small competitive cheer gym in Columbia. I love every second of it simply because I grew up a cheerleader my self, and I love being around little kids. Music is a big part of my life, and would explain the reasoning behind the hard decision that I'm facing; getting my degree in Early Childhood Education or music managing. Those are two very different career paths, but it's what I'm interested in. As much as I love working with kids, a big dream of mine for a while now is moving to Nashville, TN (about as far north as I'll go) and managing music there. I am constantly at concerts, which I go to, to have a good time, but I am always meeting the performers and talking with their managers about their career. Go ahead, call me a "Jesus-freak"...sorry for having an unconditional love for Him! God and my family mean the world to me and nothing comes before them. That's about all I can think of about myself. I'm sure there's more, but that's enough for now. Okay, heads up, I have ADD, so switching from topic to topic will be a normal thing for me. Sorry in advance!

Once again, I am so happy to be starting this blog!! Please please please give me feedback either by commenting or send me a DM on Twitter! I can't wait to really get this going!!
